The data controller is Wiramu Ltd (company number NI718907), United Kingdom, at Office 514, 92 Castle Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 1HE. ICO registration: Pending. Contact: [email protected].
We collect no data from you directly. Everything we hold is published by UK official registers and collected from them, not from individuals. The sources that contain personal data are:
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: analysing UK corporate and regulatory records over time, which requires the records as they were published on each date. The data is already public, we collect no more of it than the publishers release, and this archive is not used to make decisions about individuals, to contact them, or to build profiles for marketing.
The scope of the paragraph above is deliberate and worth stating plainly. The archive is a record of what each register published on each date, and it is used for nothing else.
Wiramu Ltd (company number NI718907) also operates a separate service that reads food hygiene rating data out of this archive and uses it to post commercial letters to food businesses. That is a different purpose with a different lawful basis, its own controller notice, and its own record of what was sent to whom. If you have received a letter, or want to stop receiving them, the notice that covers it is at TODO(operator): other_service_notice_url.
Nothing in that service can write to this archive, and no personal data
segregated under the personal/ prefix is used by it.
Personal data is held in the UK and the EEA only, segregated from the rest of the archive so that it can be located and reported on precisely. It is not included in any sample or demonstration dataset.
The archive is a historical record, so entries are retained indefinitely: its value is precisely that it shows what a register said on a given date, and deleting past entries would destroy that. We do not amend or delete historical records to reflect later changes; instead, later observations are added alongside earlier ones.
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or object to our processing. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 2 working days and resolve the request within one month. Because our records are copies of official registers, a correction at the source is usually the effective remedy, and we will tell you which register to approach. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
